2016

After the election, many many of us felt we had to express, in some way, the fear, anger, anxiety, disbelief of what had just happened.  I took an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, attached it to my garage, added silk roses and lights, and then painted, "Mother of the Americas, pray for us."

The sad thing is, none of us could possibly have imagined how bad things would get, how tenuous freedom is, how social advancement is even more tenuous.
